Tarryn Troutman
The Team.
The Experience.
The Expertise.
Having grown up in the auctioneering industry, Jason Troutman had a clear picture of which direction he wanted to go in. Upon receiving his license in 2007, he did not pursue the path of becoming Livestock, Car or Antique Auctioneer. Instead, he chose to become a full-time Fundraising Auctioneer.
Tarryn specialized in Public Relations in College and entered the arena of event management upon graduating in 1998. In the 25 years since then, she has been involved in different capacities in hundreds of events, both fundraising and corporate. After receiving her Auctioneering qualification in 2006, she started to build an auctioneering business while continuing to run her event management firm. Although specializing in real estate auctions, Tarryn used her newly acquired auctioneering skill to help both existing clients and other charitable organizations raise money at their fundraising events. She was elected to the South African Institute of Auctioneers Steering Committee in 2007 and went on to become the first woman to serve as a Director of the Board.
Since establishing Auction Horizon in 2011, the “Troutman duo” have worked with many organizations including Academy Prep, Angels for Change, Artsbridge Foundation, Atlanta Ballet, Bearings Bike Works, Cink Charities Inc (Open Champion Stewart Cink), Crohns and Colitis Foundation (various chapters), Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (various chapters), Julie’s Dream, MS Society, The Miracle League, Peter Michael Foundation, Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research (various states), St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Tampa Bay Watch, to name but a few.
Jason and Tarryn have over 40 years of combined experience in the fundraising-, events- and auctioneering industries.
